Ep 100: Phychic Medium - Jessica St Germain
Introducing the wonderful Jess StGermain
After an early career in acting, she followed a powerful inner calling to become a life coach in 2010 — and in 2020, that path deepened as she stepped fully into her gift as a spiritual medium.
Since then, she has devoted herself to serving Spirit, delivering healing messages from loved ones and guides that help others find clarity, peace, and purpose.
Her work is deeply personal and profoundly transformational. Whether she’s channeling messages from beyond or guiding someone through practical steps to release blocks and realise their full potential.
Known for her warm, down-to-earth presence, she brings lightness and joy into every session. She believes sometimes the most powerful breakthroughs happen when we allow ourselves to laugh, to feel, and to be real.
When she’s not holding space for others, she’s busy driving her kids to their many activities, heading out for a hike, or chasing after their dog, Dotty, at the dog beach.
We had an absolute blast during this interview with Jess. An incredibly authentic special women who has really dedicated herself to her purpose and has impacted many lives.

Ep 99: Fear and Worry
Today we chat and share about the power of fear and worry, what it really is, the many ways it can be approached and how to not let it govern your life.
When fear and worry kick in, this can be when self care is potentially either lacking or needs to be shifted to cater to what's being brought to your attention. Either way we get the most clarity when self care is prioritised in times of worry and fear.
We share how important it is to look at the facts, and understand that the worst is possible but so is the best, and sometimes worrying about it only attracts more of the possibility of what we don't want.
With the right self care practices that cater to your needs, you can use fear and worry as a tool to level up, reflect and grow without it becoming bigger than you or stealing your power.
Ep 98: Being the C Student
In this episode, we dive into the concept of being the "C student"—and why it’s perfectly okay to not always strive for perfection in every area of life. We discuss how the pressure to be 100% in everything can lead to burnout and how adopting a more balanced, relaxed approach can actually lead to growth and well-being.
Key Topics:
Redefining Success: Why perfection isn’t always necessary and how being "just good enough" can be liberating.
Letting Go of Pressure: The importance of releasing the need to excel in every area, which helps prevent burnout and fosters better mental health.
Resilience & Growth: How the C student mindset builds adaptability, resilience, and practical life skills that matter most in the long run.
Celebrating Progress: Focusing on incremental growth rather than perfection and learning to appreciate small wins.
We talk about how it's okay to be "mediocre" in some areas and how this mindset allows you to thrive without the constant pressure of perfection. Embrace your C-student self, and find balance and joy in the journey!
Ep 97: Trusting the Process
Today we have a lot of fun getting curious with the idea of what it really means to trust in the process. This gets interesting when you think about how areas of our life and self care benefit from patience and the ability to keep showing up.
We share what we feel trusting the process means, and why once you lean into trusting the process, you become bigger in yourself, through developing a safe relationship around the idea that slow (smart) and steady race really does win.
It possible that people give up right before they were about to experience a breakthrough. Even us and we know it!
Maintain that new goal for a year this time.....see what happens ;)
Where do you need to trust more, and remind yourself that good things take time, and great things take even longer.
Ep 96: Breaking Point
Today we want to get real, raw and honest and talk about very rare occasions in life that can happen called, the breaking points. The moment when you feel like you've hit a wall and everything closes in on you. When everything feels like it's either going wrong or you simply have lost control of your emotions, a type of rock bottom feeling for a day or even an hour.
It is normal, it is healthy and it is a real part of life that we shouldn't be afraid to address, express and share with people who know us best.
When was the last time you had a moment like this? What were you ignoring? What did it teach you? And how did you recover from it?
Join us and we share experiences from our own personal lives and how we explain that "Breaking Point" in life can be truly life changing and extremely positive when we have the ability to reflect, and have a calm approach towards ourselves once the storm has passed.
Ep 95: Gut Health - Scott Collins
We are so grateful and privileged to have Mr Scott Collins return to the Press Pause Podcast. Scott is the Director and Founder of Grasses of Life and has been a Naturopath for 17+ years. He has developed grasses of life which focuses of super foods over the last 10years. Grasses of Life has since become a leader in functional foods, specialising in detox foods.
In this episode we discussed many questions around Gut Health. We look at life from all angles to take a closer look at how not only food can harm our gut but also how we live our daily lives can affect the well being of our gut.
Stress, food, and sleep are just some of the topics we go into to explain what limits our gut from functioning optimally. Scott also has a fantastic Gut Food product he developed himself to support the gut and the repair of the gut lining.
Join us to get a wide idea of what can be harming your gut and also how small life habits like lowering stress or having regular sleep can make a huge difference.
Ep 94: Avoidance
Today we ask ourselves "What is it that you're avoiding?", "Why?", and "What cost is that having on your life.'?
We also get involved and answer these questions with you. We encourage you to sit and pause and to do genuine enquiry around what's something that you avoid, that may be having a bigger impact than you think.
If nothing comes up for you, just sit with it a bit longer. It could be as simple as making your own food instead of buying takeaways, looking after your teeth, or having an important conversation with your partner or loved one.
Perhaps starting a new career or workout practice, having more fun and less stress. What ever it is we want you to imagine "How would life be and feel for you, if you faced this one thing?
Big or small, when we create a practice of facing things that we continue to put off, we're not only improving the quality of our lives, we are listening and tuning in to what our bodies or intuition is telling us.
Ep 93: The Importance of Family
In this heartfelt episode, we explore the vital role family plays in our overall well-being, identity, and personal growth.
Whether it’s the family we’re born into or the one we choose, our closest connections shape how we navigate life’s challenges and celebrate its joys.
We talk about how healthy family dynamics provide emotional support, a sense of belonging, and a strong foundation for self-worth. We also touch on how family can be both a mirror and a motivator, helping us grow, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Expect gentle reflections, real-life stories, and a few practical reminders to reconnect with your loved ones—however family looks for you.
Tune in if you’re seeking to deepen your relationships or simply want to be reminded of the strength, love, and grounding that family can bring.
Ep 92: Open To Receive
How is your ability to receive?
Do you shake it off if someone gives you a compliment? Do you prefer just to be the giver? How is abundance flowing in and out of your life?
Today we talk about what the power of receiving does to your life, and how it can have an effect on our self care if we choose to be closed off to receiving. I say choose because it is a choice and sometimes some of us can't see where our blind spots are, and we make excuses because we have everything under control and don't require any input from outside of ourselves.
It's important to allow energy, opportunity, and love in. It shows up in many forms. If we trust and allow ourselves to receive it, we are able to full our cup much more often than what we may do on our own. It can be hard trying fill our cup all by ourselves. Eventually having input from another human or experience gives us life, and we are actually able to give more.
Ask yourself a question, am I open? How do I receive? See what comes up and continue to explore that, see where it takes you!

Hopefully with us being honest with ourselves, it encourages you to do the same. For this is when we see the greatest shifts and pattern breakers.
Ep 89: Enduring Tough Times
Sometimes we really can't predict how life is going to unfold and how that can impact our routines and ability to maintain self care.
How do you respond to the curve balls and tough times that can catch us by surprise? This is when all the self care practices that we have maintained come together in one moment to support who we are going to be when things simply do not go our way.

Ep 88: Self Image

How do you really see yourself? What story are you still telling yourself about who you are? And how is that image shaping the way you show up every day?

Ep 84: Doing something that scare you.
How often do you get scared about something and instead of letting fear decide who you get to be, you seize the moment and over come the illusion of fear.
There are many benefits that we receive when we create a practice of over coming the fears we face in everyday life. As Martin Luther King so brilliantly spoke, “It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.”
We are naturally drawn to things that brighten our light and because shinning our light can be scary we don’t realise sometimes how important it is to over come this fear, to reach our greatest potential in life and within our self care practices.
What things can be scary for you? Is it speaking up? Being honest about how you feel with others or even yourself? Is it going to a meditation group or breath work class? Is it putting yourself first in general? Putting yourself first can be scary because it means letting go of controlling everything cos lets be honest, there's always something to be done. How can you step away, let go, and be more fearless in your self care practices and every day life?

Ep 82: 5 Questions if you are Feeling Stuck
Today we felt like doing something different.
We wanted to ask you some questions and actually get you to write down your answers and to see what comes up for you. In all areas of feeling stuck. Those times when you feel like you are in a rut, the same results keep happening, or maybe you have lost inspiration around your goals.
We are also going to participate and answer the same questions and share our answers with you.
We are all on a self care journey no matter how much knowledge you have. Today we hope to be relatable and neutral so you can see everyone is always working on something.
Ep 81: Communication
One of the most important things to consider when we are talking about self care is your ability to communicate. How serious do you take the way you communicate with others around you including yourself?
Have you come across situations that haven't worked out in your favour and thought, maybe I sounded different to how I heard myself?
How we communicate determines so many of our results, understandings, mis understandings, and can make all the difference when you are trying to look after yourself in new ways. Communicating to the people around you is so vital to achieving your goals. While at the same time, being honest with yourself is just as important to see reality for what it is.
Sometimes keeping things to yourself and not sharing with others can also be important, depending on the goal that needs to be achieved. However when you are needing the support of others those difficult conversations came become the make or break towards achieving what you set out to do.
Today we talk about how crucial it is to always evolve and work on your communication skills, why, and also how listening is just as important when it comes to communicating to actually receive the information you need to formulate the best conversation possible.
